Dr. Victoria Malz finished her undergraduate studies at Tufts University and received her Doctorate in Medical Dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1996. Dr. Malz was one of only four doctors nationwide to get a one year residency at the prestigious North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. After completing the program, she left the hospital environment to enter private practice. Her patients consistently praise her gentle touch and thorough explanations. She has a special touch with children but performs all manner of family dental care. In addition, Dr. Malz has been on staff at United Cerebral Palsy in New York and is skilled in the challenges of taking care of patients with special needs. Most recently, Dr Malz has finished her additional training in sedation dentistry and has made it available to patients in our practice. |
Dr. Ryan Woodman finished undergraduate work at the University of Pennsylvania and ultimately achieved early acceptance to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine to receive a DMD degree in 1995. Following graduation, he was one of three doctors accepted to the dental residency at both Women's and Hahneman Heart Hospital in Philadelphia. These hospitals later formed the core of what is now Allegheny Health System - the premier healthcare center in Philadelphia. Following postgraduate training, Dr. Woodman practiced with his father for close to ten years emphasizing complex rehabilitation cases including implants and esthetics. He has appeared on local TV in New York about advances in dental comfort and often consulted for other doctors regarding implant restorations. He is also experienced at working with a team of doctors, many times including an anesthesiologist, to complete comprehensive treatment in a single visit. |

The two were married in 1997 after meeting in dental school and have one son. They decided to relocate to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2005 for the wonderful weather, warm-hearted hospitality and excellent quality of life. They look forward to bringing their skills, honed with a combined 20 years of experience, along with a five-star service mentality to the Matthews and South Charlotte area.
We hope that you and your family will become a part of our extended patient family.
